Synopsis
In 1895, Defendant 47 faces trial without knowing why he is there. As the judge and lawyers probe his fractured mind, he begins recalling fragments of his life in the early days of photography, his artistic ambitions, and a fateful encounter with the mother of one of his subjects. As memory returns, so does a dark truth that could seal his destiny.
