Synopsis
Julia arrives at a theatre as an emergency replacement in a stage adaptation of Henry James’s The Turn of the Screw. With little preparation, she must immediately begin the dress rehearsal. As Julia performs the role of a governess caring for two orphaned children in a haunted country house, strange sounds, unexplained movements and the increasingly disturbing behaviour of those around her convince Julia that the fictional ghosts may not be confined to the stage.
