Synopsis:
Based on No Friend but the Mountains, written on a mobile phone during four years of offshore detention, this 2 part series follows the creation of a major symphonic work by composer Luke Styles. In collaboration with Zelman Symphony, Wise Music and Arts Centre Melbourne, the production confronts the artistic, political and emotional challenges of turning lived trauma into music.
