Synopsis
Half a century after Sir Robin Knox Johnston won the original Golden Globe Race, eighteen amateur sailors set sail to recreate the ultimate test of isolation and endurance. Battling relentless storms, mechanical failures and crushing solitude, they attempt a non stop solo circumnavigation using traditional methods. Of the eighteen who depart, only five complete the journey, with the last spending 322 days alone at sea in one of the most punishing challenges in sailing history.
