Synopsis
In 1950s South Africa, Amina lives boldly, running her café despite police harassment and community judgment. Miriam, trapped in a rigid marriage, quietly endures her prescribed role as wife and mother. When Amina begins working near Miriam’s home, an unexpected bond forms. As attraction deepens under the shadow of apartheid and patriarchal control, their relationship becomes both a sanctuary and a dangerous act of resistance.
